Summer brings Various health problems like dehydration, upset stomach, bacterial infections, heat stroke, etc.
It is very important to make sure you are eating the right foods and exercising the right way to fitness and health.

Here are some Healthy tips for summer which might be helpful for you-
- Always apply Sunscreen lotion.
It is important to use a sunscreen lotion of at least SPF 30 in order to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Don’t sit in the sun in peak hours between 11am and 4pm in order to minimize UV radiation. If you are planning to be out in the sun for a long period of time, reapply sun sunscreen lotion every two to three hours.
- Hydrate – Hydrate – Hydrate – Drink plenty of water
During the hot summer months, heat and sweat can leave your body dehydrated. A lack of water is harmful to your body and can also make you crave food when you’re not actually hungry. It is incredibly important to keep yourself hydrated by drinking at least eight to nine glasses of water a day.
Bored of water? Add some low calorific flavoring to water such as a piece of fruit, or opt for healthy alternatives like coconut water.
- Grab seasonal fruits and vegetables
Consuming seasonal foods have their own charm and health benefits. Always pick seasonal fruits. Load up on plums, tomatoes, berries, watermelon, oranges.
- Choose fresh juices over cold drinks
Summers make you thirsty more often, which tempts us to cold drinks and energy drinks that prove to be hazardous in the long run. Whenever you feel like quenching your thirst, prefer drinking fresh orange juice or melon juice.
- Eat Regularly, But Eat Light
Summer time tends to reduce one’s appetite because of the excessive heat. But it is important for you to eat regularly because your body requires the nutrients to fight the heat and keep you healthy. Having said so, the best thing to do is to follow a light diet including summer veggies like cucumber, ivy gourd, etc. Avoid heat generating foods like meat, eggs and other proteins, and even salt intake.
